Some pieces of Software are not made to be usefull, but rather to be nice. One of them is the Inverse Graphing Calculator (via). From the description of the site:
“The way the IGC works is, you type something you’d like as your curve (…). The IGC produces an *equation* which has this phrase as its graph!”
Of course, it would have been even better if it used Bezier-Curves instead of just linear lines. However, a nice little thing.
